Your business should work for you
Build a business that supports the life you want to live, not one that consumes it.
Companies I've worked with
I'm Ernesto, a Business Operations Consultant who works with business owners make their businesses simpler, clearer and more sustainable, not just for the business, but for the people running it.
My work sits at the intersection of operations, systems and human sustainability. I look at how work actually gets done, where complexity and friction come from, and what needs to change so the business can operate with greater clarity, ownership and autonomy.
I came to this work through years of working with businesses and teams, but also through my own experience with stress, burnout and the pressure of building a life around work. That experience shaped the way I think about productivity and operations today:
"A well-run business shouldn't require its owner to sacrifice the life they built it for."
Your business has grown. But the way it operates hasn't grown with it.
Tasks fall through the cracks. Responsibilities aren't clear. Decisions get delayed. Miscommunication becomes common. And eventually, growth starts to feel impossible without adding even more complexity.
You find yourself making decisions that shouldn't require you.
Answering messages all day, micromanaging your team and constantly being pulled back into the business — instead of working on the parts you actually enjoy.
You can't truly switch off.
Time with your family, rest, exercise, travel, hobbies — even taking a week completely off — becomes difficult because the business still depends on you to keep everything moving.
The result isn't just an inefficient operation.
The goal isn't to take you out of your business. It's to give you the freedom to choose where you want to be involved.
"The business is running. But it is running through you."
The goal isn't to take you out of your business. It's to give you the freedom to choose where you want to be involved.
Every business is different. I start by understanding what's actually going on, then identify what needs to change.

STR Excellence
Building an operation that doesn't depend on the founder.
STR Excellence had grown rapidly — but the founder was still the center of every decision. We redesigned the operational structure, built a management layer, and created the systems that let the business run without constant founder involvement.
The founder reclaimed 20+ hours per week. The team became self-managing. Revenue continued to grow.
Greenland Capital
Building systems and workflows for a growing investment operation.
As the operation grew, I helped design and optimize the systems behind day-to-day work, using Monday.com, Slack and automation to create more structure and visibility across teams. I also onboarded Portfolio Managers into the new workflows and helped redesign key processes such as recruitment and onboarding.
DPW
Creating structure across teams and standardizing how events get delivered.
With events taking place across New York and Amsterdam, the team needed a more consistent way to plan and execute them. I worked cross-functionally with the teams involved to standardize the tasks and workflows required for each event, creating a clearer and more repeatable way to get the work done.
Grace Eleyae
Bringing structure and clarity to marketing and production operations.
As the business grew, its marketing and production operations needed more structure. I worked closely with the owners to understand where work was getting stuck, simplify how the teams operated, and create clearer processes and workflows — helping the business move from a more ad-hoc way of working toward a more structured operation.
